This is probably stupid but could the circle 8's be Ho Ho Ho. 8 corresponds with the letter H and the circles is O.

They are NOT circle 8's but the Taurus symbol!!!See letter enlargement the tops are not closed.It is a full moon in Taurus symbol thrice repeated.
